Apparently the Lollapalooza music festival is happening this weekend in Chicago, so downtown Chicago is packed with people going to/from Grant Park. Alcohol is banned from Metra trains, although I have no idea if it’s allowed anyway. This year’s big headliners are Paul McCartney and Metallica. Not what I would have expected from what originally was an alternative rock festival founded by Jane’s Addiction frontman Perry Farrell. Of course, this isn’t quite the same as the original Lollapalooza, which traveled around but stopped in 1997 before being revived in 2005 as a Chicago-based festival.
